A New Way of Thinking
Thanks to the generous support of the AJ Fletcher Foundation and in collaboration with Elon University’s Center for Design Thinking , we are on a community co-creation journey to develop plans that advance racial and economic justice. This journey involves workshops designed to enhance collaborative efforts within teams.
Design Thinking, as defined by the Center, is not just a problem-solving method; it’s about identifying the right problems to solve, learned through a practitioner’s art involving study, reflection, and action. These workshops equip participants with practical tools that foster inclusivity, challenge oppressive cycles, and cultivate creative responses to structural inequality. We are just completing our first round of community co-creations sessions this month and we are excited about the process and enthusiasm built among the participants.
