Crystal Wilson Is the First Leader of United Way of the Greater Triangle’s Newly-formed Outreach Team
Recently, United Way of the Greater Triangle added an Outreach Team to better facilitate community connection. This new team combines communications, volunteer coordination, and community education into a mighty new squad, now led and shaped by Crystal Wilson.
Crystal joins us after more than 20 years in the insurance industry, most recently she has 11 years with Nationwide Insurance where she served as Casualty Claims Manager, Sales Manager, and Business Development Consultant. She also served for 2 years on the United Way Board of Directors, and as a long-time United Way volunteer.
“I have always had a passion and desire to do more within the local community. I always thought that I would have an opportunity to do more after retirement. As a previous Board Member of the United Way of the Greater Triangle I saw first-hand the direct impact they make to the surrounding community. I am thankful to have the opportunity to do what I am most passionate about each and every day, and to work alongside some AMAZING people while doing it!
“I am looking forward to the creation of this team. The excitement around the strategy to meet/exceed our goals has been wonderful to witness. The cohesiveness and idea creation to collaborate within and outside of our team has been fantastic! Excited about continued success and measurable impact from this group!”
In her spare time, Crystal is the President of the Burlington-Graham Chapter of Jack & Jill of America. Her family has a passion for health and fitness. Crystal and her spouse, Vinson have been married for sixteen years and have three lovely daughters: Sydni (22), Victoria (9) and Bella (7).
