Day of Service w/ Habitat for Humanity Orange Co.

Volunteers will be working at Habitat Orange County's new development, Weavers Grove, located in Chapel Hill. This is a huge property which will contain some 238 homes on 30 acres of land. We'll have signage directing folks to the specific location.
10/6/23, 2 shifts: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., and
1:00 p.m. - 4 p.m. (15 vols needed per shift)

Our big event is made possible through the help of 100+ volunteers at the event - and we would love your help!
In exchange for 3 hours of volunteering, volunteers receive a free ticket to the show, a t-shirt, a meal, and a drink. This is a great way to get your team at the event and share the experience!

In-person and virtual volunteer and learning opportunities will be available. No experience or training is necessary! Join us with a spirit of giving as we give to those who need it most. Every year, United Way of the Greater Triangle offers ways to honor Dr. King’s legacy. Make it a “Day On” rather than a “Day Off.” In-person and virtual volunteer and learning opportunities will be available. Please join us as we prepare to celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., on January 15th, 2024 with the Boys & Girls Club of Raleigh, as we create a fun and safe environment for children & youth to participate in community service. Our mission calls for us support those who are addressing the needs of those affected most in our communities and continue to provide opportunities for networks to be involved. Volunteers are essential to this event. There is no experience or training necessary! Join us with a spirit of giving as we give to those who need it most.

21-Day Racial Equity Challenge

Nationally and throughout the Triangle, our communities continue to be engaged in conversations around racial equity and justice. Now is the time commit to doing the work to achieve a deeper understanding of the role that race and systemic racism play in society.
United Way of the Greater Triangle is hosting its third-ever 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge, taking participants on daily quest to learn and discover effective habits about race, power, privilege, and leadership. The goal is to educate and empower individuals with new understandings and action steps that will help us begin the process of dismantling systemic racism in our communities. The 21-Day Challenge will kick-off on Monday, November 6th, 2023. Honoring the work of African Americans in this country, the work to be done to end systemic oppression, and how systemic racism perpetuates the cycles of poverty for which United Way's mission is actively trying to solve.
