How RTI International Is Helping United Way Rapidly Respond To Those In Need

Recently the Triangle has seen some tough times due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Many have lost their jobs, fallen ill, and are looking for hope. Last week United Way of the Greater Triangle was able to be a beacon of hope to our community with some help from our partners at RTI International. RTI International contributed over 1,000 gift cards that were worth 10 dollars each and also gave $15,000 dollars to United Way of The Greater Triangle’s Rapid Response fund.  These cards were distributed to five local organizations that help those in need in the communities of Johnston County, Durham County, Orange County, and Wake County. El Centro Hispano, A Place at the Table, Johnston Lee Harnett Community Action, Wake County Smart Start, and Vimala’s Curry Blossom were the organizations that were the recipients of the cards. Upon receiving them our partners were thrilled as they will be able to use these to help those in need that they serve. Because of the generous giving to United Way of the Greater Triangle we are able to impact those in need year round. What a great way to demonstrate the Power of Partnerships.
