Ricky Hurtado is the Co-Executive Director of Latinx Education (LatinxEd), an initiative that breaks down barriers to success for first-generation college students and expands opportunity for immigrant families in North Carolina. His work has focused on advancing equity and justice by applying a critical understanding of race, place and gender to social and economic challenges facing low-income communities. Ricky earned his B.S. with Honors in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. He was recently named by Forbes Magazine as one of the top 30 under 30 leaders in education for the class of 2018.
