Dear Triangle neighbor,
Few things make me happier than seeing smiles on the faces of my two daughters during the holiday season. For some of us, this time of year is about family, food and cheer. Unfortunately, that’s not the reality for many.
More than 200,000 individuals in our community are living in poverty every day. These families wonder where their next meal will come from or how they will afford coats for the colder months. They aren’t able to enjoy these special times that mean so much to us.
That is why I am inviting you to make a difference in the lives of these families, NOW.
You can make real change in the lives of kids and families in the Triangle when you volunteer with, advocate for, and donate to United Way of the Greater Triangle. We support and partner with 85 of the most effective organizations working to end poverty in the Triangle. Your generous donation during this season of giving makes so much possible. A gift of $100 provides one week of nourishing groceries for a family of three, or two nights of critical shelter for a mother and her child. Imagine what we can accomplish together, UNITED as a community in both passion and purpose.
Your partnership – and your gift made by December 31 – will help us lift more of our neighbors out of poverty during this season. I hope you will join us in the fight against poverty by giving to United Way of the Greater Triangle. Thank you!

Thank you for your support!
United Way of the Great Triangle is committed to solutions that work toward the long-term health and well-being of the Greater Triangle community. In order to ensure that the needs in our community will be met well into the future, United Way has established a planned giving program.
Through this program, investors can give lasting gifts that will continue to help those in need for years to come. Whether through a gift of stock, a bequest, life insurance beneficiary, or a charitable trust, planned gifts enable you to create a sustained impact in your community.
All donors who have made a planned gift, or who let us know that they will make a planned gift, will be included as members of the Tocqueville Legacy Society. Your planned gifts to United Way can be made in a variety of ways that will not only benefit United Way and the Greater Triangle community, but may also provide significant tax and income advantages.
For more information on how making a planned gift could benefit you and the Triangle community, please email Danette Chadwick or call 919-460-5013.
United Way also has the ability to accept gifts of stock to help create a lasting and positive impact in the Triangle. If you prefer to donate with a gift of stock, please download the form below, and submit it to us according to the instructions on the form.
