Leadership-Level Donors

United Way of the Greater Triangle relies on the support of all its donors to make transformational investments in our local community.  Leaders United and the Tocqueville Society members are philanthropic individuals who value the work of United Way and get involved to help create a brighter future for all residents of the Triangle area.

Leadership-level donors can select a variety of ways to get involved and become advocates for a community united for transformative change including board and committee participation, hands-on volunteering, and social advocacy.

Leaders United

Leaders United members are change makers: coming together to radically improve our communities; inspiring action, united around transformative change; contributing to real solutions to the Triangle’s social issues through volunteerism, advocacy, and investments in the community.

Leaders United members build their personal, professional, and philanthropic networks through professional development opportunities and exclusive events to gain a deeper understanding of the issues in our area.  Leaders United is open to any individual making an annual gift of $1,000 or more to United Way of the Greater Triangle.  For more information on Leaders United, please contact Natasha Wayne, Director of Engagement at 919.463.1367.

Tocqueville Society

The Tocqueville Society recognizes visionary leaders who have committed themselves to making our community a better place for all its residents.  Membership is available to individuals who contribute $10,000 or more annually.

Prospective Tocqueville Society members have the opportunity to participate in the Tocqueville Society Step-Up Program.  In this program, individuals become full members when they commit to giving over the following period of years:

  • Year 1: $5,000
  • Year 2: $6,500
  • Year 3: $8,000
  • Year 4: $10,00

Step-Up Program members begin to receive the benefits of Tocqueville Society membership during their step-up years.
