Engage with Us

Volunteer

Volunteering mobilizes the caring power of our community through hands-on action to make an immediate difference to our neighbors and a better place for us all.  United Way of the Greater Triangle can help you get involved in our community whether you’re looking to spend an afternoon reading with students, organize a food drive at your office, mentor a social innovation start-up or bring your colleagues together for a team-building day. Community Events

United Way of the Greater Triangle hosts quarterly community volunteer events, uniting volunteers from Durham, Johnston, Wake, and Orange counties to make a difference for our neighbors.  These projects can:  accept large groups, offer team-building and networking opportunities, and are planned and managed by United Way staff.  These events include:

  • MLK Day of Service
  • National Volunteer Week
  • Day of Action
  • Day of Caring
