B.O.O.K.S. Truck – National Volunteer Week

B.O.O.K.S (Building On Our Kids’ Success) During National Volunteer Week, United Way of the Greater Triangle is bringing a truck full of books for local kids, families, teachers, and mentors. Day of Action 2017

Join United Way of the Greater Triangle to provide weekend meals for 1,500 children.  In just two hours, volunteers will pack and distribute bags with books and enough food for meals throughout the weekend for Triangle area children.  Meal bag contents meet the guidelines of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Backpack Buddies program which provides weekend meals to children throughout the school year.

100K Meal Packing Event

Join the Rotary, Duke University, Durham Tech, and United Way of the Greater Triangle to bring 100,000 meals to the Triangle.  Volunteers will create soup mixes, rice bags, and bean bags to fill the shelves of pantries in the Triangle area.  All food items will be distributed to partner agencies working to end hunger in Durham, Orange, Wake, and Johnston Counties.
