What does justice look like for our Johnston County communities? Join us on 3/26 for a conversation with two nonprofits leading the charge.

Justice in our communities means that systemic barriers have been removed so that individuals have the same opportunities to succeed regardless of race, gender, economic status, and more. After experiencing centuries of intricate systems designed to keep marginalized communities down, justice can feel like an impossible achievement. That’s especially true in rural communities that are racially divided, where income is lower, transportation options are minimal, and policies aren’t created to support the greater good.

On March 26, United Way of the Greater Triangle is hosting a live conversation with nonprofit leaders from Johnston Lee Harnett Community Action and Partnership for Children of Johnston County that will take a look at what systemic change can look like in rural communities and will address inequities through the White and Black leader experiences. Will you join us?
