United Way of the Greater Triangle Elects Gregory Winkler to Board of Directors

MORRISVILLE, NC (March 19, 2014) – Today, the board of directors of United Way of the Greater Triangle elected Gregory Winkler as its newest member.  Winkler holds the dual positions of Raleigh Market President and Regional Manager at Wells Fargo Bank where he oversees Team Members across the eastern half of the state and focuses on business lending, deposits, brand recognition and community involvement.

“We are pleased to welcome Greg to the board,” remarked JR Shearin, chairman of the board ofOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA directors. “Greg’s experience in business and finance will be a huge asset as we continue to make investments in the region and work to create community-level change through partnerships and engagement.”

Winkler is currently the chair of the Wake County Economic Development Board and the Wells Fargo Raleigh Advisory Board.  He is also a member of the NC Rural Center Board and the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Board.  In addition, he was a member of the 2013 United Way Community Outreach and Campaign Cabinet.

“I am delighted to join United Way of the Greater Triangle’s Board of Directors,” said Winkler.  “I am committed to developing an atmosphere of positive change for our region.  Together, we can create lasting solutions and improve the lives of individuals.

Winkler is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from Taylor University.  He and his wife, Janna, have three children.
