  • 26 hours of literacy instruction for an adult who is learning to read. A cost savings of 50% over private tutoring services.
  • A yearlong batterers' treatment program that teaches appropriate ways of expressing emotion, dealing with conflict, managing anger and other life skills. This program helps end the cycle of family violence and by reducing the occurrence of abuse.

  • A program for a 13-year-old girl that focuses on positive peer relationships, leadership, self-esteem, school success and healthy bodies to increase her success is life.
  • 3 one-hour sessions for three people on budgeting and debt repayment to increase financial independence.

  • 1 homebound senior with a hot, nutritious noonday meal for a year.
  • Mental health counseling and treatment services for a child or adolescent and their family.

  • Free health, dental and prescription services for 10 uninsured people living in poverty.

  • Affordable outpatient treatment for a low-income person with a long history of addiction and multiple life problems often including homelessness, unemployment, health problems, and criminal activity.
  • 1 year of one-on-one mentoring services to help an at-risk child become confident, competent and caring.

  • 10 Fathers with the opportunity to enhance their involvement in their young child's early years including helping them set goals to improve the quality of life for the them and the family.
  • 2 volunteer friendship matches with mentally ill adults, which addresses the social isolation often experienced by those with server mental illness.

Your Donation Provides:

  • Emergency assistance (food, clothing, housing, medications and essential household furnishings) for 3 families left homeless from fires or other disasters.
  • 3 disadvantaged youth with an after school club and summer camp that teaches life skills, character, leadership development and educational assistance.
