Craig Chancellor is the President and CEO of United Way of the Greater Triangle. UWGT is the second largest United Way in the state with responsibility for Durham, Johnston, Orange, and Wake counties.

Chancellor began his United Way career in 1975 in Columbus, Ohio and has served the organization in Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and for 4 years at the national Office in Alexandria, Virginia.  He joined UWGT in January, 2002 after serving as CEO of the United Way in Dayton, Ohio.  During his tenure here, Chancellor has been instrumental in the development of the Ten Year Plans to End Homelessness, the expansion of Teaming 4 Technology, and the re-alignment of local operations with national objectives.

A native of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Chancellor graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  During his United Way career he has served on many boards and task forces.  Currently, he is a member of United Way of America’s National Professional Council, the Government Affairs Board of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of United Way of North Carolina, the United Way Key Cities, the North Carolina Commission for Workforce Development, and Chair of United Way of North Carolina's 2-1-1 Board Committee.

Chancellor and his wife Terri have been married for 33 years and are the parents of four grown children.  They reside in Cary, NC.
