Overseeing the United Way of the Greater Triangle’s community impact work that involves 164 funded programs, 88 partner agencies and the allocation of nearly $7 million annually is the responsibility of Angie Welsh, Senior Vice President of Resource Investment.

The chair-elect for the Durham Partnership for Children, Welsh is also a member of the Wake County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, North Carolina State University Urban Advisory Council, Wake Human Services Social Services Committee, and Durham’s Partnership for Children.

Formerly the executive director at The Growing Tree at Wilson Memorial Hospital (now WilMed), Wilson, NC., Welsh has a B. A. from Meredith College in mathematics and religion. She has also participated in executive training and graduate courses at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Houston Baptist University, Duke University and Harvard University.

A brand new grandmother, Welsh lives in Raleigh.
