I have been involved in the United Way since the earliest days of my professional career and continue this commitment today. Our employees at North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company consistently give at high levels as well as volunteer with many United Way organizations. Countless volunteer hours have been spent working with organizations that include Durham Congregations in Action, Communities in Schools and the John Avery Boys and Girls Club. Most of our company’s philanthropic efforts are concentrated in the local Durham community so we consider the ties that bind us to United Way very special in improving and maintaining the quality of life our employees enjoy.
