How Can I Prepare for the Race?
Not sure you can run a 5K or a 10K by November. Here is your chance to train with professionals and get ready for the race. Set a goal of participating in the Old Reliable Run race several months in advance so you will have enough time to start and follow through with a training program that will go way beyond the event itself.
The Cary YMCA will host weekly Race Training classes for anyone interested in running or walking in the 5K or 10K race. YMCA members can join for free and non-members have to only pay $25 for the entire training program. Improve your fitness level and strengthen your heart as you go through the program. This is open to Y-members and non-members with all levels of fitness.
