2-1-1 Helps Over 14,000 Callers

Do you know someone who called United Way's 2-1-1 help line, a direct link to available health and human services? Chances are you did as 2-1-1 received over 16 million calls nationwide; a 13 percent increase in call volume over the last year!

Locally, 2-1-1 in the Triangle experienced over 14,000 calls during 2009, a 25 percent increase in call volume over last year. More than 47 percent of those calls asked for assistance with housing, utilities and food... read more
