Five Triangle Companies Provide Emerging Leaders for United Way of the Greater Triangle 2010 Campaign
United Way of the Greater Triangle added 20 new employees today who will work from now until December on the 2010 United Way campaign as campaign associates. Seven of the 20 are “emerging leaders”, part of United Way’s Loaned Executive Program who are on loan from Triangle area companies.

Hertford County Schools Receive 125 Computers
Hertford County Public Schools received 125 computers to create four computer labs while saving $35,000. Teaming for Technology, a program of United Way of the Greater Triangle in Research Triangle Park, NC, provided the refurbished computers to the school district.

United Way Appoints Two Active Community Leaders to Board of Directors
United Way of the Greater Triangle recently announced the appointment of Walter C. Davenport, retired partner of Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P., as second Vice Chair of the United Way of the Greater Triangle’s Board of Directors. The organization also announced the appointment of Michael J. Palmer, Assistant Vice President of Community Affairs at Duke University, to its board and executive committee in his role as allocations chair.
