Partner Agencies
Agency Partnership
Our Community Care system is a unique approach to identifying community needs and funding programs that target local issues to influence measurable positive change.
Partner Agencies are eligible to receive funds in two ways:
- Through contributions made to Triangle United Way, programs of certified partner agencies are eligible to receive financial support.
- Funds that are designated by donors to specific agencies are invested as the donor has instructed.
If your nonprofit agency would like to be considered for first-time program funding through Triangle United Way, the first step is to review the Agency Membership Short Guide document. This document provides instructions for requesting program funding.
Prior to program funding decisions, agencies must also achieve certification. Triangle United Way has established 34 Standards of Accountability. To be certified, an agency must meet the 23 essential standards.
When a program is funded for the first time through United Way, the agency becomes a Grant Status agency. Upon being funded for the second cycle, the agency becomes a new Partner Agency.
