Discover the Leader in You Camp - Follow Up

The WLC recently held its follow-up session to the Discover the Leader in You camp at William Peace University on Saturday, November 12, 2011.

It was wonderful times of hearing the girls share their work on their community projects.  In addition, they had a session on Presentation Skills by the WLC’s newest member, Doanne Williams of Carolina Speech Consultants.  Finally, the girls had a chance to tour the campus and hear from Provost and WLC Member Debbie Cottrell.  Thank you to everyone at Peace and the Girl Scouts for making this possible.

Holiday Shopping Event!

Mark your calendars now for the WLC’s first ever Holiday Shopping Event at Nordstrom Rack! The date is Sunday, December 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. We will have the whole store to ourselves, refreshments and an opportunity to shop at a discount, PLUS purchase holiday gifts for youth being served at United Way partner agencies in the Triangle.
