Museum Event Salutes Leadership Givers

Triangle United Way recently held a gala reception at the NC Museum of Art to honor United Way Leadership donors.  Over 70 United Way leadership donors attended the event hosted by Tocqueville Society Chairman, Mark A. Ascolese.

A brief program included Triangle United Way President and CEO Craig Chancellor who shared a recently released publication, Counting on the Triangle, which documents health and human service issues in our local communities.  Ascolese spoke to the group about their collective impact in helping children, adults and families who are struggling with these issues.  Guests reflected the unique flavor of the Triangle with representation by community leaders, business executives and CEO’s from Durham, Orange and Wake counties.

"I challenge Tocqueville Society members to recruit one new member in 2007," said Ascolese.  "This will double the impact we have on needs identified in Counting on the Triangle."

A harpist serenaded the group as guests dined on Middle Eastern cuisine and explored the Egyptian exhibit, Temples and Tombs.
