In 2008, Triangle United Way will host the 3rd Annual Triangle Martin Luther King Day of Service on January 21. Adult and youth volunteers of all races and ages are invited to join United Way in a nationwide effort to improve communities and to make the Dr. King holiday, “A day ON, not a day OFF.”
Projects are needed for the 3rd Annual Triangle MLK Day of Service on Jan. 21, 2008. Registrations can be submitted on-line at www.trianglemlkdayofservice.org or faxing your completed project application form to 460-9019 attention MLK Day of Service.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get the volunteer support needed to help your school, agency or civic group on a project that will help the community. If your group has a service project planned, consider expanding the project so that others can get involved. If you will need youth or adult volunteers to conduct your project, we will assign volunteers to you as needed. All volunteers who register by Dec. 21, 2007 will receive a free commemorative t-shirt.
