Hurricanes Coach Peter Laviolette Keynote speaker at Triangle United Way Tocqueville Society Leadership Breakfast
Members of the Triangle United Way Tocqueville Society had an awe-inspiring breakfast at the RBC Center. The invitation-only event featured Team USA Hockey Olympic Coach and Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes’ Head Coach Peter Laviolette as the keynote speaker. The breakfast was sponsored by Time Warner Cable and honored leadership giving to Triangle United Way from individuals in Durham, Orange and Wake counties.
In addition, to the keynote address from Laviolette, members of the United Way supported program Second Round provided a boxing demonstration. Second Round is a program of Haven House that offers a boxing program that provides an alternative to gangs for young men in Wake County.
“I firmly believe Leadership Matters or I wouldn't be here,” said Tocqueville Society Chairman Mark Ascolese of Ascolese Enterprises, Inc. “If we don’t do it who will?” asked Ascolese to the crowd over 60 Tocqueville Society members and prospects.
