Campaign Highlights

Tyco Electronics

 

Tyco Electronics in Fuquay-Varina held a three-week campaign in support of the Triangle United Way.  In addition to the kick-off rally, activities included:

• Sponsoring a food drive to benefit The Food Bank of Eastern & Central North Carolina (a Triangle United Way Member Agency).
• Held a computer drive to benefit Triangle United Way's Teaming for Technology computer reuse program.
• Employees (who could be professional bakers!) made goodies for the always popular Bake Sale.  
• Hosted a Cookout & Fun Day featuring an outdoor grilled lunch, bingo games, balloon pop, and closest to the pin golf challenge.
• Departments and individual employees donated items and services for a Silent Auction.
• Sold raffle tickets for a 50/50 drawing (where the lucky winner donated their share to the United Way Community Care Fund!) and a parking space raffle for a one year parking spot of the winners choosing.
• A yummy Chili, Soup & Stew Cook-Off where bragging rights and prizes were awarded as determined by a panel of judges.  Bowls were then sold during lunch with all proceeds benefiting the Community Care Fund.
