Bill White
Bill White has been involved with Triangle United Way since its inception. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Wake Certification Committee. In this role, he provides donors with the promise that every donation is invested in an agency that must pass rigorous standards of accountability. He is committed to strong Boards of Directors, and his reviews of agency governance often focus on this important factor. He shares his knowledge as a banker with First Citizens Bank and he offers his time on behalf of countless member agencies. When he sees a need to reach out, Bill has taken many opportunities to meet with agency staff and volunteers to provide technical assistance, advice and moral support.
He has an unwavering ability to look beyond numbers and words on a page to the services the organizations provide. He sees the link between good business practices and the ability to provide meaningful services that makes a difference to people.
